Catetinho Museum


Designed by Oscar Niemeyer and built in 1956 to receive the president Juscelino Kubitschek and the Novacap engineers, including presidential suite, dispatches office and scenic kitchen. In the collection, you will find furniture, household items and photos. A track in the woods leads to the fountain that inspired Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes to compose the Sinfonia da Alvorada (Symphony of the Dawn).

Historical and Artistic Museum of Planaltina


The colonial style house preserves part of the collection of its former owners – the traditional Guimarães family. Scholars of the Cruls Mission would have been received there when visiting the Planalto Central (region where Brasília is located in). Since 1974 the museum displays an old German piano, sofa set and courting chairs. The country kitchen stands out with its wood stove and iron pots. Everything just like in the old times.

Museu da Casa Velha
(Museum of the Old House)



Old Gama Farm's farm-house, the centenary colonial house received the President Juscelino Kubitschek in his first visit to the Planalto Central in 1956. Its water tap generated electricity for the construction of the Catetinho. Since 2006 has exhibited photographs, furniture and typical objects of a rural house, like a spinning wheel.
